Robert A. Roe graduated from the University of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and has been professor of Work & Organizational Psychology at Delft University of Technology and Tilburg University, and professor of Organizational psychology at the University of Nijmegen. He is currently professor of Organizational Behaviour and Organizational Theory at the Universiteit Maastricht. He was the founding president of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, director of the Work & Organization Research Center in Tilburg, and Director of the Netherlands Areomedical Institute.

Specialization: Empirical studies of OB and economic transition. Theoretical studies of work performance and work motivation. Informal organizations & real-life management. Time-based concepts & models. Development of design methodology in HRM. Competence modelling in HRM.

PhD: University of Amsterdam, 1975, Political psychology, Left and right in an empircal perspective - A study into the dimensionality of political attitudes among students (prof.dr. H.C.J. Duijker).
