Gerard Pfann is full professor of econometrics of markets and organizations since 1996. He has been visiting professor at the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business (1993-1994) and the Harris School of Public Policy (2000-2001). He was Research Director of the Institute for the Future of Work in Bonn, Germany (2001-2003). He founded the Journal of Empirical Finance in 1993, and acted as editor until 1998. In 2002 he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of the European Economics Review. Gerard Pfann received a 5-year Research Fellowship from the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW), a J. William Fulbright Award, the Edmond Hustinx Medal for Academic Excellence, and the PIONIER Research Award from the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO). His research focuses on empirical econometrics applied to labor, investment, human resources, industrial organization, and public policy.
