Dr Ad van Iterson graduated in
sociology at the University of Amsterdam, where he also taught
sociology of art. Van Iterson received his PhD. with a thesis on
paternalism in the early factory system. His promotor was prof. Geert
Hofstede. Presently, Ad van Iterson works as an associate professor in
Organization Studies for the Organization Studies group, Maastricht
University. His main fields of teaching and writing are: informal
organization, civilising theory applied on organizations, and
institutional contexts of organizations. Next to faction, Ad van
Iterson also writes fiction. He published three collections of short
stories, two novels and one stage play. Also, he teaches creative
business writing.
