Walter Hendriks studied Business Economics at the University of Maastricht. In 1996 he was appointed research asistent at the department of Organization where he participated in a large scale project on the Dutch newspaper industry. In september 2004 he obtained his PhD degree with the empirical research on the relation between top management team diversity and firm performance in the Belgian and Dutch IT industry. Currently, he is assistent professor at the University of Maastricht.

Position: Assistant professor

Specialization: Topics related to issues of the internal organization especially human capital, including research on group dynamics, managerial skills and personality, CEO (leadership behaviour). In addition, he is interested in topics related to crisis management.

PhD: University Maastricht, 2004: Top Management Team Diversity and Firm Performance. An empirical study on Belgian and Dutch IT firms. Supervisor prof.dr. Christophe Boone (University of Antwerpen), and prof.dr. B. DeBrabander (University of Antwerpen).
