After having finished a two-year apprenticeship at
Deutsche Bank AG in Düsseldorf (Germany) in 2004, Nicolas studied
International Business at the Faculty of Economics and Business
Administration at Maastricht University and he received his Master’s
Degree with cum laude (Strategy and Innovation) in 2009. During his studies, he
spent an academic semester at the University of Sydney (Australia)
in fall 2007. He started his four-year PhD program at Maastricht
University (Department of Organization and Strategy) in September
2009. His favourite areas of research are entrepreneurship and
innovation in family
firms and SMEs. In his leisure
time he loves to play tennis and to go travelling.
