Peter Berends (1968) holds a
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Nijenrode University
a Master’s and PhD degree in Economics and Business Administration
from Universiteit Maastricht. His work experience includes having held
a managerial position in the Dutch Royal Navy, a directorship of a
foundation seeking to bridge the university and society and having
been a management trainer for executives. Since November 2000, he is
employed as an assistant professor in the Organization Studies and
strategy Group of Universiteit Maastricht. His teaching and research
activities center on organizational change, (organizational) learning,
mental models, communication and leadership. He has conducted lectures
and executive trainings on these topics.
