Daniela M. Kirchberg studied International Business Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Maastricht University. She received her Masters Degree in August 2006. Her final thesis dealt with job insecurity among employees in downsizing organizations and its consequences for organizational performance and work attitudes. It is titled “The relationship between downsizing, job insecurity, and employee response”.

Since September 2006 she has worked as a PhD candidate in the Organization and Strategy department. Her PhD project deals with the dynamics of motivation and the management of multiple work goals over time.
