Sara studied International Business at  Maastricht University  and received her Master degree in August 2000. From October 2000 till December 2002 she worked as a consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers. In May 2003 she started as a PhD-candidate at the Department of Organization and Strategy. Her doctoral dissertation is called "Impression Management in Consultancy" and is supervised by Prof. Dr. Robert Roe and Dr. Ad van Iterson from Maastricht University.
