EALE - European Association of Labour Economists

The European Association of Labour Economists was founded in 1989 in order to promote the advancement of knowledge in het field of labour economics in Europe and elsewhere. It is a broad-based organisation in which all schools of analysis are welcome to participate. Its activities include the organisation of international conferences and workshop, the promotion of the study and application of labour economics, the formation of international groups concerned with research and teaching, and support to publications in the field of labour economics.

LIFE - Limburg Insitute of Financial Economics

LIFE is a research group in financial economics affiliated to Maastricht University, the Netherlands. LIFE was founded by Kees Koedijk and Christian Wolff in 1993. Presently, the faculty of the institute consists of 14 researchers and 7 graduate students, who are also associated to the Finance Department, the Monetary Economics Department or the Econometrics Department of Maastricht University. The main research interests of LIFE are exchange rates, microstructure, real estate and corporate bonds. Other research interests include pension funds, term structure modeling, overreaction in stock markets, tail estimation, corporate governance, financial fragility and mortgage pricing.

MAXX - The Maastricht Academic Center for research in Services

MAXX was established on November 1st, 1998. MAXX is an initiative of the Department of Marketing & Marketing Research of the Faculty of Economics & Business Administration at Maastricht University. The management committee consists of Dr. Ko de Ruyter (Director), Prof. Dr. Jos Lemmink and Dr. Charles Pahud de Mortanges. Merit is a university research institute based at the Economics Faculty of the Maastricht University, the Netherlands. We focus on research on the economics of technological change and innovation.

NIBOR - Netherlands Institue of Business Organization and Strategy Research

The Netherlands Institute of Business Organization and Strategy Research (NIBOR) bundles the expertise of the section Organization Studies (OS) of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Maastricht University. Additionally, NIBOR links this expertise to high-quality scholars from other groups, within and outside the faculty. NIBOR covers the research areas of internal organization, strategic management, industry analysis, change management and research methodology.

Operations Research Group

The Operations Research Group is one of the three sections of the Department of Quantitative Economics of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Maastricht University.

ROA - Researchcentrum voor Onderwijs en Arbeidmarkt

The Research Centre for Education and the Labour Market (ROA) is a research institute attached to the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Maastricht University. ROA's chief activity is commissioned research. ROA has a staff of about 30. ROA's research field is the match between education and the labour market. The institute tries particularly to provide scientifically credible information about the extent to which the education system meets the needs of the labour market. This information is intended to be usable for policy decisions of public authorities, educational institutions, employment services, trade and industry, and others.
