We welcome you to the ECAIS website.
These conferences represent a series of linked annual events designed to aid further development of Accounting Information System, and related, research and teaching in Europe. They provide an important opportunity for AIS researchers in Europe to meet with leading thinkers and researchers in this field from all over the world. Their location and timing each year is linked to the
European Accounting Association Annual Congress as many of our delegates will enjoy the chance to attend both of these conferences as one trip.
The original concept for these events was developed by Eddy Vaassen (Maastricht University) and Guido Geerts (University of Delaware) who acted as co-chairs of these events in their first three years. Jim Hunton (Bentley College and Maastricht University) and Andy Lymer (University of Birmingham) have joined Eddy as co-chairs for the last few events. From 2005 on, Jim Hunton and Eddy Vaassen wil co-chair the event.
The Chairs gratefully acknowledge the generous financial, and in kind, support of our sponsors who make these events very cost effective to attend. Full details of these supporters can be found below.
This site contains the latest information for the forthcoming ECAIS conference in Göteborg (Sweden) and full details of the last three events in Prague (2004), Seville (2003), and Copenhagen (2002) .
