“My field of study focuses on internal control “My Chair involves researching everything between the Government (public sector, including not-forprofit) and the Market (the business sector, including small and medium-sized enterprises). Thus covering the following subjects: privatisation, contracting out, marketisation of public services, and public competition. This is all part of my (applied) policy research, sometimes combined with consulting and advisory roles. I advise the national government, local and provincial governments and international organisations (the World Bank, IMF, EU). I teach this subject in all bachelor’s and master’s courses within School of Business and Economics as well as in-company (Public Entrepreneurship and Public Management Reform, and Policy Evaluation).”
