Jeannette Hommes is assistant professor in Education at the Department of Educational Research and Development at the School of Business and Economics of the University Maastricht in the Netherlands. Her main responsibility is faculty development and coordinating the University Teaching Qualification trajectory (BKO) for teaching staff. Giving workshops like introduction to problem based learning, being a tutor in a tutorial group, presentation and lecture skills, course development. She also coaches staff members in their teaching activities. She is coordinator and tutor of an elective course on learning, cognition and knowledge development for third year bachelor students Economics and International Business. She is also coordinator of the first year bachelor program Economics and International Business and is member of the Program Committee of the School of Business and Economics. Recently she is involved in the taskforce international classroom and trainer of the bachelor course managing diversity. She is also consultant and trainer for external (inter)national institutes.
