International cooperation
CofFEE-Europe is part of the international organisation known as the Center of Full Employment and Equity, which has its head office at the University of Newcastle, Australia (director is Professor Bill Mitchell) and has been operating since December 1998.
CofFEE also enjoys close collaborations with the Center for Full Employment and Price Stability (CFEPS) at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA.
CofFEE-Europe is located in Maastricht and the Director of CofFEE – Europe is Professor dr. Joan Muysken. CofFEE and CofFEE-Europe have an active research staff that work together with PhD students and enjoy collaborative arrangements with academics in Europe, Japan, Australia, South Africa and the USA. Major planned research programs of public interest include our work on active labour market policies and public sector employment in OECD countries and the development of alternative labour market indicators (measures of underemployment and underutilisation).
