The Conference Office of Maastricht University is handling all accommodation
bookings. The conference hotels are located within the city centre or close to the
conference venue. The special discounted hotel rates are only available through
the Conference Office. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come-first-served
basis and will be reserved on the basis of availability.
It
may be possible that the hotel of your choice is fully booked. If it occurs,
the conference office will contact you and offers you an alternative. After
making a reservation the hotel needs a credit card guarantee, to make sure your
room will be available upon arrival.

Kruisherenhotel Situated in
the centre of Maastricht is the former Kruisheren (Crutched Friar)
cloister, dating from the fifteenth century. Together with the monumental
gothic church, this complex has been transformed into a very special designer
hotel. It is a unique place, in which antiquity and modern design are
interwoven; yet, at the same time, architectural contrasts between the past
and the present are very clear. The
internationally renowned interior designer Henk Vos has created the interior.
Every one of the 60 hotel rooms has its own individual contemporary
character. The basic principles are transparency, space, modernity and

masters such as Le Corbusier and Rietveld as well as modern designers like

Certain tanning sections were depending on streaming water, which was
supplied by the various Jekertakken in the southern part of this Medieval
city. Some of the street names recollect of the activities practised in the
late Medieval times till the 19th century.The old tanning house has been
converted into a cosy modern hotel. There are small references to past times

and the fortress of Sint Pieter. This is distant enough from the bustle of
the historic city centre but only a five minute walk from pulling up a chair
at the bistro where it smells so good, burning a candle at the “Onze Lieve
Vrouwe Basiliek” (Cathedral of Our Lady), having yourself done out of a
couple of euros in one of the numerous bazaars or from throwing yourself in a
chair on a pavement. If you’re rather into silence, green and panorama, then
walk into the opposite direction. The top of the St Pietersberg is the
